Woodbury Salterton C of E Primary School
Welcome to our school website. We hope that this provides some useful information about our school.
We are extremely proud of our small village school which was recognised as in the top 100 performing schools nationally for outcomes at Year 6 (2012-15). We were judged as ‘good‘ at our last Ofsted inspection (July 2017) and ‘outstanding‘ for our distinct Christian character at our last SIAMs inspection. The school is part of Pebblebed Heath Federation with Littleham CE Primary School. As part of the Pebblebed Heath Federation, we embrace working collaboratively to improve the outcomes for all children whilst retaining our unique Christian character.
At our school, we seek to stimulate the love of learning in our children so that they want to achieve to the very best of their abilities. Every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to reach their potential within a setting where they are happy, well cared for and where they are kind and considerate towards each other. As a Church of England school we aim for the children to be nurtured in exploring faith by the Christian Values of the school and to make a positive contribution to their community.
Pebblebed Heath Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
Thank you for visiting Woodbury Salterton CE Primary website and for your interest in finding out more about the school. Enjoy your visit to our website and please contact our schools directly if you would like to find out more.
