British values at Woodbury Salterton CE Primary School complement our School Values and we aim to show them in all that we do.
Democracy – We vote for our School Council representative, who then help us make decisions for everyone in school. We share and discuss our opinions in class. We are asked our views to help make our school a better place. We learn about how the country is governed.
Respect and Tolerance – We treat everyone equally with respect and value everyone’s beliefs, talents and uniqueness. We learn about respect and tolerance in lessons, Collective Worship and from each other. We have friends in schools in other parts of the country and world.
Individual Liberty – We treat everyone the same and we all have the same opportunities. We are often given choices in our learning and we have a voice in the decision making process. We are encouraged to speak openly and know where we can ask for help. We have personal, class and school responsibilities.
