Mental Health Day
9 October 2020

To mark World Mental Health Day we all came to school wearing yellow clothes.

The children have thought about the things that make them feel happy and made themselves into Super Heroes who help to make the world a better place.

Thank you so much to parents for all your efforts and contributions today.

Bibles from the Church

Our new Reception pupils have all been presented with beautiful, colourful Bibles.

Thank you to the Church for these lovely gifts. They will be treasured for years to come.

World Mental Health Day

For World Mental Health Day we are supporting the charity “Young Minds.”

We came to school dressed in yellow and very kindly donated to this amazing charity.

We started our day with some relaxation techniques and talked about how important it is to look after our mental health.


Class 3 Home Learning

In Class 3, we have been learning about The Titanic and the events surrounding the disaster. This theme has inspired some fabulous home learning and research.

Livi Ju from Christchurch in Woodbury led our ‘bubble’ collective worship today. The children made paper dolls and wrote the names of people who they are thankful on each one. The children also discussed how we pray and speak to God.

Art in Class 3
7 October 2020

In Art, we have been preparing our Northern Lights skyscapes using the technique of spreading and layering shimmering, pearlised paint.

We also studied the colour wheel and learned about complementary colours.

The Stone Age in Class 2
5 October 2020

In Class Two, we are looking at The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. We have been researching the lifestyle of Stone Age people and the tools and weapons they used.  We have discovered that Stone Age people used flint for weapons and tools.


Yoga Moves in Class 1
5 October 2020

After a wet and windy lunch time the children came back into class and joined in with some yoga to help focus our minds. The children were able to open the session with our Namaste greeting and then listened to a story all about dinosaurs which had them stretching and bending in all directions. A great way to practise mindfulness and prepare us for the afternoons learning.
