Phased Re-opening Information
Thank you for your responses regarding the possible re-opening of the school and the implications for your child. The teams have been working hard this week to carry out the Risk Assessments required by both the Government and Local Authority in order to inform our decision about when and how to re open safely in a phased and well considered way.
Once this has been completed, we will be in a position to share much more detailed information with you about a return to school and what this will look like at such an unprecedented time for you and your child. Before reopening a ‘Parent Pack’ will be shared with you which I hope will answer many of your questions and concerns before your child returns.
As I said in my communications last week the earliest we will be able to open more widely is Monday 8th June, but this is not yet definite. It will be confirmed as soon as possible, as will the year groups that we are able to accommodate – which may not be all those mentioned by the Government.
Before we can confirm the date of our phased reopening, we have to undertake essential staff training, make changes to the school site, have the right resources, and check that what we are doing is safe and in line with the government guidance we are still waiting for.
Thank you for your patience at this very busy time for us in school. Please continue to look on our website for further updates over the half term holiday. Please note school is completely closed for all pupils between 25th and 29th May. We hope you all have a lovely half term holiday despite the strange circumstances.
